STOP THE AUDLEY STREET RAT RUN

STREET MEETING INVITATION

Thank you for your responses to the survey on how stop through traffic rat running down Audley Street. Of those that responded, 72% were in favour of some form of street closure.

Since then a group of us have also counted the traffic on our road through the morning peak period and another traffic count will be done this week on the afternoon peak. Results of the morning one are striking, and are summarised on the back of this flyer.

Now it is time to get together to discuss the results and what to do next. You are therefore invited to a attend a street meeting.

When: 3:00pm Saturday 9 September

Length: One hour max

Where: 64 Audley St (enter via side gate)

HELP US DO RESEARCH FOR OUR SUBMISSION

We need some volunteers who are willing to spend a morning counting traffic flows in Audley Street. This is an important part of our submission.

Volunteers are needed to count cars at the following corners:

  • New Canterbury Road & Audley Street
  • Chester Street & Audley Street
  • Oxford Street & Audley Street
  • Addison Road & Audley Street

The suggested day is Wednesday, August 23 - from 6.30am to 9.30am. If you would like to participate please email us at audleystreet@gmail.com and let us know what morning or mornings you could be available to do this.
